Società Dante Alighieri is an Italian language and culture school based in Houghton.
It is run by a committee of volunteers.
The current chairperson is Dr Anita Virga, Italian lecturer at the University of the Witwatersrand.
Our teachers are Italian mother tongue speakers who have a long experience in teaching Italian to foreigners and masters degrees in teaching Italian as a foreign language. They regularly attend training and professional development courses to keep up-to-date with the most recent methodologies and trends in language teaching.
